Very little at Llansainfraid early this morning. The tide already well in, 41 Oystercatchers, including the 'white' bird, 31 Turnstones, 11 Ringed Plovers and 11 Curlews.
And so on to Ynyslas. The tide was nearly in but as I could see people already walking at the point, I decided to sit it out at the Tern posts. 94 distant Barnacle Geese, 3 Greenshanks, and a Pintail. Then John & Rosemary arrived, 2 Whimbrels and 3 Wigeon flew in and eventually small waders began to arrive on the mud as the tide ebbed. Then Jon Turner arrived at the same time as the first and only Curlew Sandpiper of the morning.
On a mud bar further out circa 150 each of Dunlin and Ringed Plover, 17 Sanderlings and a Golden Plover.
