I am currently on holiday with my wife in Ceredigion. We went to Poppit sands yesterday evening and were pleasantly surprised to come across a flock of small waders that comprised about 25 Ringed Plover, 15 Dunlin, 1 Sanderling, and, best of all, 2 Little Stints. A single Bar-tailed Godwit joined them occasionally. Unfortunately the waders were frequently flushed by dog walkers on the Poppit sands side and also from the shingle spit on the Ceredigion side but nevertheless were nice to see. A couple of Ad Med gulls flew north.
