At around 10am when the drizzle stopped I had a quick look at Ynyslas where there were 14 turnstones, 5 knot, three bar-tailed godwit, 220 ringed plovers, 280 dunlin, a single curlew sandpiper and 11 sanderling. A flock of 250 linnet was a delight as were 5 wheatear at Ynys Tachwedd.
The brick house produced 2 red-throated divers, a few guillemots,
70 common scoter and a few distant gannets.
Ynys-hir was relatively quiet though a mixed warbler flock included
willow warbler; 3 greenshank and a green sandpiper on the estuary
along with a few pintail and wigeon.
