As an update for the weekend.
Sightings over the past couple of days include the avocet,
which has been seen occasionally from the Ynys Feurig hide both on the pool and
on the estuary. Male hen harrier and male and female marsh harriers also from
Ynys Feurig. Green and common sandpipers and up to five goldeneyes from
Domenlas, barn owl from visitor centre and great egrets seen from various
locations. Greenland white-fronted geese still number 10 birds, but are largely
off the reserve and very difficult to see, we hope in the next few weeks they
will start to get more visible when they start to graze on the reserve
more.
