Hi all
A good few days on Cors Caron - from the WeBS count 21/12), an atlas count (22/12) and a walk round the bog with Angie, I've had the following sightings:
ringtail hen harrier, a merlin, 6 whoopers and about 50 teal chasing a meadow pipit from the observation building, dipper and kingfisher on the Fflur, by the smaller hide, several woodcock, a grey wagtail by Alltddu Farm (the one right by the railway line), 4 goosander seen from Pont Einon, peregrine over the river South of pont Einon, 10 whitefronts flying north over the A485 just East of Pont Einon, 20+ lapwing around too.
It's worth checking from Pont Einon during this frozen weather as all the pondas on the bog are frozen, so there are a lot more birds on the river at the moment.
Merry Christmas!
