I'm not surprised the cuckoos are in the hills as I have not seen so many drinker moth caterpillars in the 8 years I have been doing my 2.5 km BBS transect in the Upper Doethie.
I have one large fluffy tawny owl chick in the garden, and lots of alarming blackbirds!
