Birding Group Field Trip Report

Eleven of us met for a walk along the cliff tops at New Quay this morning. We had wonderful weather and even if we hadn't seen any birds, watching the Dolphins in the sea below us was enough to make it a very enjoyable day. They put on a very good show for us. A member of our group thought one pair might have been canoodling! When is Dolphin canoodling time?
Amongst the birds seen were guillemot, razorbill and kitiwake nesting on the rock shelves, fulmar, shag, cormorant, gannet, whitethroat, bullfinch, linnet, raven and chough.
