Birds on Foel Fawr

This morning we had a later than usual walk on Foel Fawr. The weather was gorgeous and so were the birds. We saw 2 Tree Pipits, one of which put on repeated parachuting displays before resuming his perch no more than 50 meters from us. We also saw a pair of Yellowhammers, a male Whinchat, 1 male and 2 or 3 female Stonechats, 2 Linnets and various other regulars. We heard 2 Cuckoos, one down towards the A487, the other further north along the ridge. Yesterday we saw a slim, young slow worm crossing the path.
