Bramblings and Redstart

Had two Bramblings in my tiny Bow Street garden at breakfast time - a first for the garden. There seem to have been unprecedented numbers of garden sightings locally the last couple of weeks - perhaps this year's beech mast crop is very poor?

Also the male Black Redstart looking very smart in the sun on the Old College this morning. Lots of bird activity on the sunny side of the building, with two Rock Pipits chasing each other all over the place, Blue Tits and Robin foraging, and a Pied Wagtail singing enthusiastically from the roof top.
