Ynyslas again

As the forecast for the rest of week promises wind and rain, I paid a lunchtime visit to Ynyslas before the nasty stuff hits us.
Arrived to find Liz and Brian on the beach so I joined them. Nothing unusual about, but it was nice to watch a pair of Great Crested Grebes displaying, and lots of Wigeon grazing on the edge of the incoming tide.
I then picked  up six Brent Geese flying up the estuary, which Liz  got on to as they were joined by another five, then two Greenshank flew up the Leri.
There are still hundreds of waders on Ynys Tachwedd fields, mostly Golden Plover, Lapwing and Dunlin, but they were so flighty that I gave up any attempt to count them. Who knows what else may be out there?
