John and I met for a walk around Ynys-hir this morning. We decided to visit Domen Las Hide because neither of us had been there for quite a while. As we arrived an Oystercatcher flew off from the wall just in front of the hide, and a carefull look revealed a single egg only a few meters away.
Elsewhere we saw a variety of summer visitors, but were disappointed not to see or hear a single Wood Warbler.
So, I was delighted to hear four and spend about fifteen minutes watching two of them on my afternoon walk along the foot of Foel Fawr with Buster.
