High tide at ynyslas wed 28th

Such a high tide made me walk over the dunes to reach the point, not to be disappointed, the sun came out and for 1 hour no people or dogs. The first birds hidden in the few remaining stones were 5 golden plover and 10 knot. a huge flock of oystercatcher flew in and out, about 450, followed by small numbers of dunlin and ringed plover. Best of all were a large flock of goldies overhead calling for about 10 mins and then landing, at least 500. When the dog brigade arrived around 10 o clock i left. Finally moving up past the pill box were 2 adult whoopers with 1 juv, a great morning! pics to follow.
