Cross Inn Forest and Llanrhystud yesterday

30 species at Cross Inn Forest yesterday morning.  Highlights were Chiffchaff, Willow Warbler, Skylark, Goshawk and Great Grey Shrike.
Later at Llanrhystud to the lime kilns and back produced ninre Ringed Plover, male and female White Wagtail, three male Wheatears, six Swallows heading north, a Willow Warbler singing at the kilns and 10 Sand Martins just the other side.
Among a flock of 304 gulls in the bay were two Herring and 33 Common: the rest were Black-headed.  Also numerous Skylarks, Meadow Pipits and Linnets.
