Cross Inn woods

The cuckoo was being particularly vocal today. I was in the woods for 2 hours and reached the conclusion that the shrike has left because he/she can't stand the racket and the cuckoo has stolen one of his favourite perches. A lot of people say that they hear cuckoos but have never seen one. Certainly these woods are always good for sightings.
