Had a look this afternoon after seeing your post Merv by the Caravan Cafe. Nothing to be seen at around 3pm apart from this cormorant, nothing either on the osprey nest itself at the reserve.
The female Glaslyn osprey near Porthmadog however did return from Africa at around lunch time today. Was it her you saw this morning? Could well have been, Machynlleth is only around an hours flight away and there aren't that many ospreys in the country at the moment. Chances are it probably was!
We open April 1st this year, I'll post a bit nearer the time.
Saw my first warbler of the year this afternoon - pretty sure it was of the Garden variety going by its song but could be wrong. It was a fair distance away in the gloom and the only shot I got of it is too embarrassing to be put up here!. Bob - thanks for the text. Emyr.
