After no sign of kestrels breeding in their usual spot on the Henrhiw this year, it was pleasing to find them nesting nearby in the valley below, next to the very upper reaches of the Rheidol. There were 3 fledged young flying about and making a noise.
Also another pair of Stonechats located in a usual territory which makes at least 3 pairs, which is the normal number for up here, so good news after the heavy winter we had.
Plenty of Yellowhammer, Linnet, Lesser Redpoll, Wheatear, Meadow Pipt and Siskin acitivity in both adults and juveniles.
