Cors Caron

I love springtime. The sound of permafrost crunching beneath your boots. The reserve was divided in two. Clear at the bottom but quite snowy at the top. I walked from the top end back down to the hide and saw two female Hen Harriers, a Merlin and a displaying/calling Curlew. At the hide a Heron was swallowing something large (a bird perhaps) in a single gulp. But I wasn't repulsed. I sit opposite my 7 year old son at the kitchen table, so I'm used to such sights.
