This year has been a bit special for garden birds with first ever White wag and Reed Bunting there have been scarce birds as well such as Goldcrest and Yellow Hammer all feeding in the garden, with Marsh Harrier and Osprey flying over.
Yesterday produced the first Chiff-chaffs of the year with two calling in the oaks just outside the property, then a fly over cormorant (one or two most years) and finished off by a fly through, at great speed, by a goshawk as I chated with a neighbour. Today has produced a lovely male blackcap in tip-top condition. I'm thinking of taking up ironing then I might get a goldie.
