A possible Spotted Crake yesterday afternoon in front of the Mallard hide at Teifi Marshes.
It flew out from behind the reeds just in front of the hide, and flew straight back again. Saw it for about 1.5 seconds with the naked eye.
It looked about the right size, shape and colour, and as it disappeared I noticed it had buff-ish undertail coverts like the one at Ynyshir.
It might be worth keeping an eye open if in the area. JEREMY MOORE
