Sightings from the Dyfi

An interesting last couple of days birding the Dyfi, it seems a few returning migrants are beginning to show up. Loads of Common Sandpipers around. I counted 12 from the Domen-las hide at Ynys-hir, 6 on the Leri and 5 on the Clettwr.
A Little Ringed Plover was on the Marian Mawr pools this evening. A couple of sightings of an Osprey today, one sat on a post in the middle of the saltmarsh near the pillbox and one flying over the woods at Ynys-hir, I imagine it was collecting nesting material.
A Whimbrel joined the many Curlew on the Dyfi today( Monday) and a Great Crested Grebe has been lingering around the mouth of the Leri. 11 Sandwich Terns were sat on a sandbank near the mouth of the Leri a couple of days ago.
