Ocean Sunfish at Aberystwyth

Not a bird but I'm putting it on the blog as it's only the second one I've seen here in 30 years. Luckily the flat calm sea enabled good views of the fin as it emerged several times.
A couple of Bottlenose Dolphins went north and one south.  The usual seabirds offshore.
Next stop was the lifeboat house at Borth, where nine Med Gulls were loafing on the beach.
Tide too low at Ynyslas to see much so it was off to Glandyfi.  Quite a few Black-tailed Godwits were visible from the layby so I went to Ynys-hir for a closer view.
From the Domen Las Hide; 29 blackwits and three Common Sandpipers.
I was surprised to find 32 Barnacle Geese on the saltings near Marian Mawr; very early autumn arrivals.
